Compare transmissions and gearboxes by data plate, type, ratios, controls and application. A machine model name does not define the full transmission build.

How should listings be compared?
The category includes manual, powershift, automatic, hydrostatic and CVT transmissions as well as reduction and angle gearboxes. They differ in much more than gear count: casing, input and output, overall ratios, PTO provision, sensors, controller calibration and lubricant specification may all change within a model family.
How can compatibility be confirmed?
Record the type designation, serial number, assembly or parts-list number and all ratio data from the plate. Compare shafts, flanges, casing length, mounts and control version. If the transmission works with a specified axle, tyre size or final drive, their ratios must form an approved combination.
What should be compared before buying?
A rebuilt unit needs a work record showing what was dismantled and measured, which bearings, clutch plates, synchronisers, seals or valves were replaced and how the unit was tested. “Checked” does not show whether the test covered operating temperature, load, every gear and control pressure.
How should a used or remanufactured part be assessed?
For a used gearbox, inspect the lubricant and magnetic plugs for debris, shaft seals for leakage, shafts for play and the housing for cracks and heat marks. Ask for a driving or working video made before removal and a fault-code printout. Noise in one ratio may not appear during a brief no-load test.
What information should the seller provide?
Request every data-plate field, donor machine, hours, ratios, PTO version, included controller and wiring, and removal reason. For a rebuild, confirm the warranty, required lubricant, cooler and line flushing procedure, adaptation requirements and the conditions for returning the old core.
