A belt for boxes, bulk material, sacks or pallets uses a different design. Length and width alone do not describe capacity, grip, accumulation or reliable transfer between modules.
What actually changes the choice?
Load: dimensions, mass per item and metre, base, friction, temperature and contamination; route: length, width, curves, incline, elevations and transfers; flow: speed, gaps, loaded start, accumulation and buffer; belt: material, profile, splice, tracking and cleaning; drive and control: power, gearbox, inverter, zones, sensors, PLC and stops
Comparison becomes meaningful only after the load unit, flow profile and interfaces are defined. The rated throughput of one module is not the throughput of the complete installation.
How should a used item be checked?
Inspect belt edges and underside, splice, slipping and tracking marks. Check drums, bearings, rollers, tensioner, gearbox and frame for noise, play, leakage and distortion. Demonstrate with load distributed as in the process, including start, stop, accumulation and transfer to the adjacent module. Program backup and sensors are part of system value, not extras.

State the load, linear mass, required speed, route, incline and infeed/take-away method. Request drawing, rating, belt specification and condition, motor and ratio, voltage, inverter, sensors, diagrams, control code, hours, included parts and foundation and utility requirements.
