How should listings be compared?
Pneumatics in machinery and commercial vehicles can operate brakes, suspension, tools, doors or automation. Compressor, dryer, multi-circuit valve, reservoir and actuator must match in output, cut-in and cut-out pressure, threads, heater voltage and control logic. A universal-looking valve does not have a universal function.
How can compatibility be confirmed?
Start with the maker’s number and the circuit diagram. Compare maximum pressure, flow, temperature range, port sizes and port functions. For a compressor identify drive, lubrication and cooling; for a dryer, cartridge, heater and governor; for a valve, rest position, supply voltage and switching pressures.
What should be compared before buying?
A remanufactured compressor requires measured output and oil carry-over information. Valves need a leak test and switching values, not just confirmation that they were cleaned. A pressure reservoir must have a legible plate, permissible pressure and a condition suitable for legal and safe service.
How should a used or remanufactured part be assessed?
Inspect used parts for internal corrosion, oil contamination, cracked ports and damaged threads. Leakage can only be assessed after holding a stated pressure for a defined time. Check an actuator rod and mounts, and ask whether a dryer regenerated correctly and whether moisture accumulated in the donor vehicle’s tanks.
What information should the seller provide?
Request part number, application, port diagram or description, working pressure, voltage, output and medium. The seller should identify the cartridge, sensors, heater, regulator, brackets and pipes included. For a safety-related component, obtain its provenance and remanufacturing record.
