How should listings be compared?
This category covers lift and high-pressure pumps, injection pumps, injectors, rails, regulators, tanks, lines and water separators. Identical-looking components can have different delivery characteristics, correction codes, connectors or approved fuels. Selecting them only by the machine model creates a real risk of incorrect fuelling or control faults.
How can compatibility be confirmed?
Cross-check the system manufacturer’s number, OE number, engine code and emissions version. Establish whether an injector needs its correction code entered into the controller. For a pump, compare drive direction, gear or coupling, port arrangement, valves and sensors. Seals and hoses must also be suitable for the fuel used.
What should be compared before buying?
For remanufactured parts, a traceable bench-test report is more useful than new paint. It should identify the individual unit and show results at relevant operating points. Ask which critical items were replaced, how open ports were protected from contamination, and whether the warranty requires tank and line cleaning plus new filters.
How should a used or remanufactured part be assessed?
Inspect a used pump or injector for corrosion, damaged threads, metallic debris, signs of dismantling and leakage. A statement that the donor engine ran does not prove correct return flow or delivery under load. Contamination in the fuel may indicate a system-wide failure rather than a fault isolated to one component.
What information should the seller provide?
Request every number from the housing, donor engine and machine, hours, fuel type, removal reason and test report. Confirm included washers, clamps, valves and sensors, the return-core deposit, return deadline and all installation conditions that apply to the warranty.
