How should Mast rollers listings be compared?

Carriage rollers, main mast rollers and side-thrust rollers carry different loads and are not interchangeable. Some masts use oversize groups to match rail wear.

What actually changes the choice?

  • Position: mast stage, carriage, main or side guidance; geometry: outside diameter, width, tread profile and radius; mounting: bore, axle/stud, bearing, seal and spacers; adjustment: clearance, eccentric, size group and rail interface; identity: mast number, roller reference and position drawing
  • Part number and machine data take priority over visual similarity. Versions may differ in dimensions, connection, direction, material or calibration despite sharing a trade name.

How should a used item be checked?

Rotate the roller under hand load and check roughness, play, cracks, pitting and uneven tread wear. Measure roller and mast rail at several points; a new roller in a worn channel can still give wrong clearance. Inspect stud, retainers, shims and lubrication. General mast noise does not automatically identify one faulty roller.

What information should the seller provide?

Send truck and mast number, roller position on a drawing, and old-roller and rail measurements. Request reference number, complete profile and tolerances, bearing/seal type, oversize group, included stud and shims, and selection/return terms after measurement.
