Unit load: pallet, tote or tray, dimensional tolerance, mass and base quality; capacity: locations, depth, zones and storage strategy; flow: average and peak inputs/outputs, sequence and buffers; building: height, floor, structure, temperature, fire strategy and service access; control: PLCs, drives, WCS, WMS/ERP, diagnostics, redundancy and code ownership

How should a used item be checked?
For a used AS/RS inventory equipment, cabinets, drives, sensors and networks by serial. Inspect wheels, rails, ropes or belts, telescopic forks, guides and power collectors. Run representative inbound, storage, retrieval and fault-recovery cycles. Verify program backups, credentials, licences, machine-safety files, obsolete parts and whether geometry can be recreated after dismantling.
What information should the seller provide?
Provide the load-unit and flow profile, required availability, building and host system. Request layout, equipment list, diagrams, PLC/WCS code and backups, versions, licences, interfaces, cycle times with assumptions, fault history, critical spares, dismantling/reinstallation plan, commissioning scope and acceptance tests.
