How should Gasoline forklifts listings be compared?
On older listings, “gasoline” is sometimes confused with gasoline/LPG dual fuel. The exact supply system, building conditions, fuel and parts availability may matter more than a small purchase-price difference versus LPG or diesel.
What actually changes the choice?
Configuration: capacity plate, mast, forks, sideshift and tyres; fuel: gasoline or dual fuel, carburettor or injection, tank and lines; environment: ventilation, emissions, noise, indoor and outdoor use; driveline: engine response, cooling, transmission and reversing; maintenance: engine, ignition and fuel-system parts availability and service competence
A headline model rating does not describe the whole truck. Capacity, height, load centre, attachment, tyres or battery must match the data plate and the actual build.
How should a used item be checked?
A cold start reveals ignition, enrichment and compression behaviour better than an already warm engine. Check hunting, smoke, fuel and coolant leaks, lines, tank and any gasoline–LPG changeover. Once warm, drive, reverse and lift under load; assess temperature, transmission, brakes and engine response while hydraulics are being used.
What information should the seller provide?
Request serial number and engine code, unambiguous photographs of the fuel system, ignition or injection type, mast, capacity, attachment and tyres. Require a cold-start recording, ignition and fuel-service evidence, cooling and transmission history, hours and disclosure of any LPG conversion.
