How should Forklift attachments listings be compared?
Standard forks, a fork positioner, pipe clamp, counterweight and work platform solve entirely different tasks. This page selects the attachment family; the exact device must then be assessed in its own subcategory.
Load and movement: support, clamp, shift, rotate or carry a person; mechanical interface: carriage class and width, hooks, pockets or pins; hydraulics: functions, flow, pressure and couplings; geometry: weight, centre of gravity, effective thickness and visibility; approval: revised capacity plate and compatibility of the truck–attachment combination
Do not compare prices across different product classes. Map the listing to the right process and subcategory first, then compare specifications, condition and commissioning cost.
How should a used item be checked?
Inspect a used attachment both detached and operating. Check its plate, hooks and locking devices, welds, straightness, jaws or arms, cylinders, hoses and synchronisation. Assess play and leakage after warming up, using a load close to the intended geometry. Carriage width alone is not proof of compatibility.
