How should listings be compared?
Cab comfort and demisting depend on the complete circuit: compressor, condenser, receiver-drier, expansion valve, evaporator, heater core, blower and air doors. One cab model can use different refrigerants, compressor drives or controls. A part that bolts in may still be incompatible with the electronics or working medium.
How can compatibility be confirmed?
For a compressor, verify exact code, refrigerant, oil type and quantity, mounting, pulley or drive, ports and control valve. A blower requires voltage, rotation, output and the correct resistor or PWM module. Match heater cores and evaporators by dimensions, port positions and sensor locations.
What should be compared before buying?
After compressor failure, establish whether the circuit is contaminated. A replacement can fail quickly if metal debris, incorrect oil or stop-leak remains. The offer should state the oil already in the compressor, while installation may require flushing and replacement of the drier, valve or other parts according to the repair procedure.
How should a used or remanufactured part be assessed?
Inspect a used compressor for leakage, bearing noise, clutch or valve condition and smooth rotation; hand turning does not prove capacity. Check evaporator and heater core for corrosion and leaks, blower for play and uneven speed, and control panels for communication or actuator faults.
What information should the seller provide?
Ask for part number, compressor code, refrigerant, oil, donor machine and leak or output test. Confirm sensors, valve, pulley, hoses and controller included, and all warranty terms concerning flushing, receiver-drier replacement and professional evacuation and charging.
