3CX/4CX ECo Backhoe Loader - Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The JCB 3CX and 4CX ECo are powered by an EcoMAX engine with outputs ranging from 55 kW (74 HP) to 81 kW (109 HP). This engine requires no exhaust treatment, leading to reduced operating costs. It delivers high power and torque even at low RPM, which positively impacts fuel consumption. The unique TorqueLock system enhances efficiency, and the optional automatic transmission can yield fuel savings of up to 25%.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The hydraulic system in the 3CX and 4CX models has been optimized to achieve maximum performance while working with various attachments. The new pump performance regulation significantly increases lifting force and shortens loading cycles. Hydraulics provide great flexibility for excavation and material transport operations.

Operating Parameters

The 3CX ECo offers a maximum digging depth of up to 6.14 m, while the 4CX ECo has a bucket capacity ranging from 1.0 m³ to 1.3 m³. Additionally, the torque rating is 400 Nm, ensuring efficient operation even in heavy-duty tasks. The extended working hours between refuels are supported by a 160 l fuel tank.

Optional Equipment

Equipment capabilities can be enhanced with optional accessories such as hydraulic buckets, quick coupler systems, or remote monitoring via the JCB LiveLink system. The 4CX model also offers additional features such as an optional telescopic arm and advanced anti-theft systems, which increase the security and flexibility of operation.
