How should Pallet trucks listings be compared?
A manual pallet truck suits short moves on a level floor; electric drive helps with more cycles, ramps and longer routes. A high mast or rack put-away belongs to a stacker or forklift category, not this one.
What actually changes the choice?
Pallet: entry pockets, clearance, fork spacing and length; load: mass including uneven distribution and lift height; route: distance, thresholds, ramps, lifts and turning space; running gear: drive or steer wheel, single or tandem load rollers and tread material; power: manual or electric, pedestrian or platform, battery, connector and charger
A headline model rating does not describe the whole truck. Capacity, height, load centre, attachment, tyres or battery must match the data plate and the actual build.
How should a used item be checked?
Test a manual truck with a pallet: the pump should lift without pulsing and hold height, the valve should lower smoothly, and the tiller should not have excessive play. Inspect fork tips, welds, axles and roller wear. On an electric truck test travel in both directions, tiller braking, belly button, loaded lift and battery-voltage behaviour after several cycles.
What information should the seller provide?
Request exact type, year and serial number, capacity, fork length and overall width, lowered height, roller type and service weight. For an electric version require battery voltage, capacity and chemistry, battery date, hour reading, charger model and confirmation that platform, guards and charging lead are included.
