Box trailers are trailers equipped with a special enclosure that allows for the safe and compliant transport of various types of cargo. The trailer enclosure can be made of different materials, such as steel, aluminum, wood, or plastics, depending on the type of cargo.

There are different types of enclosed trailers, including:

  • Van trailers - equipped with sealed enclosures closed by doors, allowing for the safe transport of various types of cargo at a controlled or uncontrolled temperature.
  • Curtain-side trailers - equipped with curtains allowing for easy loading and unloading of cargo, such as pallets, bags, or wooden elements.
  • Flatbed trailers - without specialized enclosures, allowing for the transport of various types of cargo, including machines, equipment, or building materials.
  • Container trailers - equipped with special containers that allow for easy and safe transport of various types of cargo in containers.
  • Refrigerated trailers - equipped with special refrigerated enclosures allowing for controlled temperature of cargo, including food products.

Enclosed trailers are usually attached to tractor units or heavy-duty trucks, allowing for the transport of larger quantities of cargo than with regular vehicles.
