For a used vehicle, begin with the VIN, chassis and body plates, then reconcile their data with the records. Inspect the frame for corrosion, cracks and repairs, check running gear, brakes and tyres, and operate every body function. A road test should reflect the intended duty and be carried out under safe conditions.
What information should the seller provide?
