Match the equipment to the job first
Start with the collection system: two- or four-wheel bins, special containers, bags or crane collection. Check the operating side, crew requirement, approach distance and whether loading height fits the intended collection points.
What really affects the choice?
Compare body volume, compaction plate or drum, hopper cycle, lifter, comb and container arms. Route output depends on cycle time, control ergonomics, visibility, cameras and the ability to reverse and manoeuvre safely.
Assess gross mass, unladen mass and usable payload after body installation, wheelbase, turning circle, drivetrain, brakes and emissions specification. Vehicles handling wet or aggressive waste need close inspection of sealing, drainage, floor and corrosion.
