How do you compare mobile crushers?
Mobility does not define the crushing principle. A tracked plant may contain a jaw, impact or cone chamber, so the decision still begins with the material and the required product.
Crushing chamber and material flow
Feed opening, permitted feed size, setting range, expected product and throughput stated for comparable material.
Hopper volume, feeder, grizzly or pre-screen, main and side conveyors, and the route taken by fines.
Overband magnet for recycling, final screen and closed-circuit oversize return, if these components are included in the offered plant.
Transport, drive and operation
Transport weight and dimensions, track width, ground clearance, setup time and components removed for transport.
Diesel, electric or hybrid drive, installed power, fuel use or electrical supply requirements and service access.
Dust suppression, controls, interlocking with other machines and availability of the correct wear parts.
Inspecting a used mobile crusher
Compare engine hours with crushing hours. Inspect the chamber and liners, jaws, blow bars or mantles, rotor, bearings, frame, tracks, cylinders, belts, rollers and screens. Request a loaded running video and fault history, but assess the result against known material and settings.
