A tiller is an agricultural machine used for leveling and loosening the soil in a field. It serves to increase the permeability of air, water, and nutrients, thereby improving the condition of the soil and enabling better plant growth. Tillers are available in various sizes and configurations, allowing for the selection of the appropriate model for the needs of a particular farm.

There are two main types of tillers: plow tillers and rotary tillers. Plow tillers consist of one or several plowshares set at an angle, which penetrate the soil and break it up. Rotary tillers consist of rotating tines that tear the soil and loosen it to a depth of several centimeters.

When choosing a tiller, several factors should be considered, such as:

  • field size
  • soil type
  • type of crop
  • size of the farm

It is also necessary to pay attention to the efficiency and power of the engine, as well as the number and size of tines or plowshares. Tillers with lifting and depth adjustment functions are also available, allowing for easier and more precise work.
