System design inputs
Field layout: number and length of spans, radius or travel lane, obstacles and unirrigated corners. Water supply: pivot point, hydrants, supply hose or canal, plus available flow and pressure.
Structure: crop clearance, tower spacing, pipeline, overhang and corrosion protection. Driveline: centre drives, wheel gearboxes, tyres, alignment and rutting controls.
Water application: sprinkler package, spacing, regulators, pressure loss and control zones.

Verify the complete span configuration and its documents. Inspect trussing, pipes, joints, cables, panels, drives and evidence of twisting or storm damage.
