Hydraulic pile hammers, also known as pile drivers, are devices used to drive piles into the ground by means of impact. Depending on the needs, these hammers can be used to drive wooden, concrete or steel piles, as well as for other tasks requiring shocks and impacts, such as crushing rocks or breaking concrete.

When choosing a hydraulic pile hammer, several factors should be taken into account, such as:

  • the type of piles that will be driven, i.e. the material, length and diameter,
  • the type of soil in which the piles will be driven, i.e. its composition, density and resistance,
  • the power of the device, i.e. the amount of impact energy the hammer can generate,
  • the efficiency, i.e. the number of piles that can be driven per hour,
  • the ease of use, i.e. the ergonomics, intuitiveness of the control panel and ease of access to service parts.

Hydraulic pile hammers can be mounted on various types of machines, such as excavators, loaders, tractors or special vehicles designed for construction work. Depending on the design of the hammer and the machine on which it is mounted, hydraulic pile hammers can operate in different positions, allowing for flexible adaptation to working conditions.

It is important to ensure that the chosen hydraulic pile hammer is well protected against overload and failure, and also has appropriate certificates and meets safety standards to ensure safety on the construction site.
