Tipper trucks are a type of truck used for transporting loose materials such as soil, sand, gravel, debris, stones, wood, or waste. Tippers are used in many industries such as construction, mining, agriculture, and transportation.

A characteristic feature of tippers is the ability to unload the cargo by tilting or lifting the cargo box using a hydraulic lifting and lowering system. This allows the tipper to easily and quickly empty its load at a designated location.

Depending on the needs, there are different types of tippers that differ in construction and cargo capacity. The most commonly used models are:

  • Three-way tippers - have a cargo box that can be tilted to the rear and sides, allowing the cargo to be emptied from three sides.
  • Sideboard tippers - have a cargo box with sideboards that allow for the transport of loose materials with a larger volume.
  • Articulated tippers - have a joint that allows for turning, making it easier to maneuver and move in difficult terrain.
  • Tipper trucks with hydraulic lifting systems - have a hydraulic crane that allows for the independent loading and unloading of heavy objects.

When choosing a tipper, attention should be paid to the cargo capacity, engine power, durability and quality of the cargo box, as well as the hydraulic lifting and lowering systems. Additionally, safety requirements and legal regulations regarding transportation should be taken into account.
