Powertrain and Design

The Wacker Neuson 2404 is a modern compact excavator with a transport weight of less than 2.5 t. It is equipped with a Yanmar 3TNV76 engine providing an output of 17.9 kW, which ensures effective cooperation with the hydraulic system. The machine's construction is based on a durable steel frame, providing stability and high structural integrity. Additionally, the new cab can be easily removed, facilitating transport and operation in challenging terrain conditions.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The 2404 features an optimized hydraulic system with two-way auxiliary hydraulics as standard and an optional third control circuit. Safe operation is also ensured by hydraulic control valves and a hydraulic oil cooling system. Furthermore, all hydraulic hoses are routed inside the dipper arm, protecting them from damage.

Operating Parameters

The machine achieves a maximum reach of 4.35 m and a maximum digging depth of up to 2,720 mm. The standard break-out force for the bucket is 14.6 kN, while the maximum digging force is 19.6 kN. The 2404 also offers an optional VDS system, providing continuous adjustment of the superstructure tilt by up to 15°.
