Powertrain and Design

The VOLVO L30B is a compact wheel loader powered by a Deutz engine with a net power of 49 kW. The machine features a hydrostatic drive system that facilitates operation while providing high efficiency even when hydraulic work tools are engaged. The drivetrain includes operator-selected 100% differential locks on both axles, which significantly enhances traction. Built on a robust front and rear frame, the loader offers high stability and durability during use.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The L30B features a drivetrain with two rigid-mounted portal axles providing all-wheel drive. The maximum oscillation at the wheel is 250 mm, contributing to better maneuverability of the vehicle. The hydraulic system is based on gear pumps delivering up to 52 l/min at 2300 rpm. The hydraulic system controls lifting, tilting, and additional quick-change hitch functions.

The L30B has an operating weight ranging from 5.1 to 5.2 tons, making it agile and efficient in various applications.
