Powertrain and Design

The VOLVO EC35 is a compact excavator powered by a water-cooled four-cylinder Mitsubishi S4L2 diesel engine with a displacement of 1758 cm3 and a rated power of 27.2 kW (37 PS) at 2800 rpm. This engine features a maximum torque of 102 Nm at 1600 rpm. The excavator's elongated X-shaped frame enhances its stability and rigidity. The machine is equipped with ROPS, TOPS, and FOPS systems ensuring high safety levels for the operator.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The VOLVO EC35 features a hydraulic “Load Sensing” system that allows for precise control under varying load conditions. It also boasts independent movements and high working speeds, significantly reducing cycle times and enhancing productivity. The undercarriage with steel tracks, measuring 300 mm in width, is powered by a hydraulic axial piston motor and offers two travel speeds - low at 2.8 km/h and high at 4.3 km/h.

Operating Parameters

The VOLVO EC35 achieves a maximum digging depth ranging from 3420 mm to 3710 mm, with bucket capacities ranging from 46 to 175 liters. The operating weight of the machine is between 3540 kg and 3582 kg. The breakout force is 2190 daN, while the digging force is 2920 daN. The hydraulic system operates at a maximum pressure of 230 bar with a pump capacity of 90.2 liters/min.

Optional Equipment

Standard equipment for the VOLVO EC35 includes a cab with FOPS protection, ROPS, and TOPS features, a comfortable seat, heating and ventilation systems. Optional features include radio preparation in the cab and custom paint options according to RAL specifications. Additional hydraulic circuits for attachments are also available.

Safety and Technical Data

The machine is equipped with an advanced braking system and an automatic locking mechanism for controls when the cab is opened. Compliance with European safety standards (EN 474-5, 86/662 EEC) is ensured. Environmentally friendly solutions, such as biodegradable hydraulic oils and catalysts, are integral parts of the machine's design, contributing to environmental protection.
