VALLA 400 DE - Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The VALLA 400 DE is a dual fuel mobile crane, powered by diesel for road travel and outdoor work, and electric for indoor operations. It has a maximum capacity of 40 t and weighs 25,000 kg without additional counterweights. The crane is constructed from formed and welded steel plate, ensuring durability and stability.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The crane features a hydraulic system with proportional control, safety valves, and filters. Its axles consist of one steering oscillating axle and one driving rigid axle. It operates on 14.00 - 24” tires, with four on the drive axle and two on the steering axle. The steering system is reversible, allowing for maneuvering both front and rear.

Operating Parameters

In diesel mode, the crane is powered by an Iveco engine rated at 134 kW (182 HP) and has an automatic transmission with a maximum speed of up to 40 km/h. In electric mode, it is powered by a 30 kW motor with a battery capacity of 850 Ah, providing a range of up to 6 km/h. Hydraulic pumps, including a winch inside the boom, facilitate efficient operation in various conditions.

Optional Equipment

Optional equipment for the VALLA 400 DE crane includes a Load Moment Indicator, a diesel generator for auxiliary battery charging while traveling, a rotary cabin, and remote control capabilities. Additionally, a man bucket is available, expanding the operational uses of the machine.

Safety and Technical Data

The VALLA 400 DE crane complies with international standards such as I.S.P.E.S.L. and ANSI 1994. Standard safety features include hydraulic disc brakes and power-assisted steering. The crane is also equipped with a safety system, including safety valves in the hydraulic system, enhancing operational safety under varying conditions.
