Powertrain and Design

The Terex TX970B tractor loader backhoe weighs 17,663 lbs (8,029 kg) and is powered by a Perkins 1104C-44TH engine delivering 94 hp (70.3 kW). It features a standard dig depth of 15' 11" (4.9 m) and can extend up to 20' 4" (6.2 m). The all-wheel steering configuration enhances maneuverability in challenging environments.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The TX970B is equipped with a Dana Full Powershift transmission, offering four forward and two reverse speeds. Its hydraulic system includes dual pumps, each with a flow rate of 21 gpm (80 Lpm), and a main relief setting of 3,250 psi (225 bar). The closed-center system ensures efficient power matching during excavation tasks through automatic adjustments.

Operating Parameters

The loader performance includes a breakout force of 12,291 lbf (5,575 kgf) with standard equipment and a maximum lift capacity of 8,783 lbf (3,984 kgf) at full height. It achieves an overall operating height of 14' 0" (4.3 m) with a reach of 11' 0" (3.34 m) when fully extended.
