Powertrain and Design

The Schmidt VF-Z.1 is an advanced mounted snow blower designed for efficient frontal removal of hard and frozen snow. It consists of a robust open-front housing with two parallel working milling drums, each having a diameter of 1.00 m. The machine is protected from damage by easily accessible shear devices.

Operating System and Hydraulics

The snow blower is mounted on the device plate with a quick-change system, allowing rapid deployment. The drive is achieved directly from the front power take-off of the carrier vehicle via a cardan shaft and a heavy-duty bevel gear, supplemented by a generously sized angle gear.

Operating Parameters

The Schmidt VF-Z.1 can process up to 1300 tons of snow per hour, and with the hydraulically rotatable ejection chute, it can throw snow up to 20 m away. The clearing width is 2600 mm, and the weight of the machine is 1620 kg. Additionally, the front height of the machine is 1350 mm.

Optional Equipment

The robust construction of the VF-Z.1 makes it ideal for challenging urban winter maintenance conditions. It is compatible with UNIMOG U 400, U 500, U 1600, and various tractors. The monoblock milling system has been specifically designed for maximum efficiency in removing hard and frozen snow.

Safety and Technical Data

With an ergonomically positioned control panel, the operation of the machine is straightforward and safe, allowing control of all functions with minimal effort. The design also provides good forward visibility, enhancing safety during operation.
