Powertrain and Design

The R 918 Litronic is a hydraulic crawler excavator weighing between 18,150 and 21,800 kg. It is powered by the Liebherr D 834 A7 engine, delivering 85 kW (116 HP) at 1,800 RPM. This engine complies with Stage IIIB emissions standards, validated by the use of advanced technologies such as the Common-Rail injection system and an automatic idling shutdown feature.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

This machine features an efficient Positive Control hydraulic system. A dual circuit hydraulic system allows for independent performance allocation and quick operation. This system further enhances speed control and precision in operation, which is crucial in challenging working conditions.
