Powertrain and Design

The Liebherr L 564 2+2 is an efficient wheel loader with an operating weight of 22.4 t. It is equipped with a Liebherr D 926 TI-E A2 diesel engine, delivering a power output of 183 kW (249 HP) at 2000 RPM, ensuring optimal performance. The engine features 6 cylinders and a displacement of 9.96 l, while delivering a maximum torque of 1074 Nm at 1200 RPM. The engine cooling system is adequately designed, and the air filter is of the dry type, equipped with a service indicator on the LCD display.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

This loader incorporates a stepless hydrostatic drive system, known as “2plus2”, allowing for smooth control and optimization of tractive force and thrust. Key hydraulic components include a variable displacement axial piston pump and two drive units in a closed circuit. The average cycle time for lifting is approximately 5.6 seconds, with a dumping time of 2.0 seconds, making it efficient for demanding operations.

The loader features a bucket capacity ranging from 4.0 to 5.0 m³, depending on the variant used. The tipping load can reach up to 15285 kg, providing high efficiency in material transport. Standard equipment includes a ROPS/FOPS cab, enhancing operator safety. The cab is ventilated and heated, featuring adjustable seating to increase work comfort. The machine also offers options for varying tire widths and specialized buckets for lightweight materials, thereby enhancing versatility.
