Powertrain and Design

The Kronos 8020 series is available with three different boom lengths, making it the most powerful crane in the Kronos range. Its extreme robustness has been confirmed through rigorous testing, demonstrating structural superiority. The cranes in the 8020 series exhibit high lifting and slewing forces across the entire operational envelope, thus ensuring high efficiency. They are equipped as standard with a powerful grab and rotator.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

Models within the 8020 series have been developed with a strong focus on durability and ergonomics. The booms have undergone detailed FEM analyses, proving their considerable strength. The slewing and lifting dampers soften movements and prevent sharp hydraulic pressure peaks during loading, consequently extending the crane’s operational life. The hydraulic end-dampening on the telescopic extension and swing damper for the grab add final touches to the unit.

Operating Parameters

The model 8020 has a lifting moment of 84 kNm at a maximum outreach of 7.7 m. It can handle a maximum effective load of 0.78 t while working with various boom lengths. The primary boom length measures 2.7 m, and the turning angle is 360 degrees. The maximum allowable load without the grapple stands at 1550 kg at maximum outreach.

Optional Equipment

Standard equipment includes the swing damper and the potential to mount a hydraulic winch. The crane is also equipped with a service stair and anti-slip device, enhancing user safety. Available add-ons include grabs sized at 0.27 m², which provide additional versatility.

Safety and Technical Data

The Kronos 8020 crane features four cylinders in the turning device and boasts a maximum turning moment of the rotator at 1600 Nm. The hydraulic system operates under a working pressure of 210 bar. The basic loader's weight ranges from 1240 kg to 1400 kg, affirming its sturdy construction.
