Komatsu 860.4 – Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The Komatsu 860.4 is the new version of one of the most versatile and productive forwarders on the market. It features a 6.6 l engine capacity with a maximum power of 150 kW (201 HP) at 1900 RPM, delivering high torque at low RPMs for exceptional fuel economy. The environmentally-friendly Tier 3 engine contributes to reduced emissions while maintaining excellent performance. The newly designed Komatsu Comfort Bogie enhances maneuverability and stability on challenging terrains.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

This machine is available in both 6WD and 8WD versions, offering flexibility in tough operating conditions. The hydrostatic transmission with load sensing delivers a maximum working pressure of 26 MPa (260 Bar) and a flow rate of 290 l/min. This hydraulic system optimizes loader performance and provides precise machine control.

Operating Parameters

The Komatsu 860.4 features an increased tractive force of 174 kN, with no increase in fuel consumption. Advanced loader geometry ensures exceptional operating parameters, allowing the machine to perform under tough conditions with high efficiency. The powerful working capacity and torque make this forwarder ideal for demanding forestry tasks.

Optional Equipment

This forwarder can be equipped with the optional Komatsu LoadFlex system for added convenience during loading and unloading. Various accessories, including tire options and alternate bunk configurations, are also available upon request. High-quality components are a standard in this class of machine.

Safety and Technical Data

All components of the 860.4 are designed with the operator's safety in mind. The driver's seat is ergonomically designed, and the cabin meets ISO 8082 (ROPS) and ISO 8083 (FOPS) standards. A reliable braking system and centralized lubrication points ensure high reliability and ease of maintenance.
