Komatsu 845 - Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The Komatsu 845 is designed to achieve maximum productivity in thinning and lighter clear cutting. The new Stage 4 Final engine and optimised transmission minimise emissions and fuel consumption. Its low weight and slim exterior dimensions contribute to superior manoeuvrability and low ground pressure.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The forwarder features a hydrostatic-mechanical transmission that enables precise driving control. The hydraulic system has a flow rate of 280 l/min and a maximum working pressure of 24.5 MPa. These features allow the Komatsu 845 to achieve a high tractive force of 158 kN.

Operating Parameters

The Komatsu 845 has a maximum load capacity of 12 tons, facilitated by the new FlexBunk bunks with mechanical widening. Transport dimensions are 9.231 m in length, 2.620 m in width, and 3.800 m in height. The machine weighs 16,600 kg and is powered by the AGCO POWER 49 AWF-4V engine with a power output of 140 kW and a displacement of 4.9 l.

Optional Equipment

Despite its compact size, the 845 can be equipped with various options such as a bogie lift, front blade, and the Comfort Ride suspension system. The MaxiFleet fleet management system is also available as an option, allowing real-time monitoring of the machine's performance.

Safety and Technical Data

The operator's safety is ensured by compliance with various standards, including ISO 8082-1 (ROPS) and ISO 8083 (FOPS). The spacious cab and ergonomic controls enhance the operator's comfort during work. Technical parameters also include a four-cylinder engine that meets EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage 4 regulations.
