Powertrain and Design

The 6403 and 6603 tractors are equipped with John Deere PowerTech TM engines, featuring mechanical units with 4 and 6 cylinders. They offer higher power, reliability, and more than 5% torque reserve compared to previous versions. The tractors are available in two operator station variants: open station and cabin, providing the operator with proper ergonomics and visibility. The redesigned operator station facilitates daily maintenance and service procedures.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The 6403 and 6603 tractors utilize a synchronized TSS 12X4 transmission, allowing for gear changes while moving, thereby increasing work efficiency. The hydraulic system is based on a gear pump and an open-center system, allowing for the use of 1 to 3 selective control valves, providing versatility in applications. Features such as a category 2 three-point hitch with two external hydraulic cylinders enhance lifting capabilities.

Operating Parameters

The 6403 and 6603 tractors have a nominal power output of 109 hp and 124 hp respectively, with maximum torque values of 485.8 Nm and 539.3 Nm. They also have a dual core air filter type, which extends engine life. These tractors can be equipped with fuel tank options of 152 L or 230 L, ensuring autonomy of up to 11 hours of operation.

Optional Equipment

The tractors offer various equipment options, such as preparation for the installation of front loaders, where loader model 563 is compatible with 6403, and model 673 with 6603. Additional elements include an ergonomic joystick and optional stabilizers, which facilitate mounting and dismounting of implements. High-clearance wheels are also available for working in challenging soil conditions, such as onion or carrot cultivation.
