Powertrain and Design

JCB Backhoe Loaders 4CX feature a heavy-duty one-piece mainframe, a componentized driveline, and a fully enclosed engine compartment. All fluid and component compartments are lockable with the ignition key. The 4CX 14 FT model has a transport length of 24-2 (7.37 m) and a transport height of 11-3 (3.43 m) with a standard backhoe.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The 4CX model is equipped with a hydraulic system utilizing dual gear pumps to supply oil for the loader, backhoe, and steering systems. JCB cylinders are hose-protected, and the hydraulic tank is side-mounted with a sight glass. The system also features an oil level indicator. The 4CX includes a hydrostatic steering system with three steering modes.

Operating Parameters

The operating weight of the 4CX 14 FT model is 16,446 lb (7462 kg). The standard bucket capacity of 92” is 1.4 cu yd (1.07 m3). The bucket breakout force is 13,728 lb (6227 kg), and the maximum lift capacity to full height is 10,225 lb (4638 kg).

Optional Equipment

Various accessories are available for the 4CX model, including buckets with capacities up to 1.6 cu yd and a 6-in-1 bucket that enhances versatility. An optional Q Fit coupler for buckets can also be installed, along with telehandler equipment. Different tire types are available, including 16.9-24 and 440/28 models, allowing for customization based on application.

Safety and Technical Data

The JCB Backhoe Loader 4CX meets ROPS/FOPS requirements. It features work lights and warning systems, including an audible alarm when reversing. Hydraulic system pressures can reach up to 3650 psi (252 bar) for efficient operation. It is also equipped with engine covers and safety systems that protect the operator.
