Powertrain and Design

The JCB 4CX features a heavy-duty one-piece mainframe, componentized driveline, and fully enclosed engine compartment. All fluid and component compartments are lockable using the ignition key. It is powered by a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 4.4 liters, providing a net power rating of 98 hp at 2200 rpm.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The hydraulic system of the JCB 4CX utilizes dual gear pumps to supply oil for loading, digging, and steering systems. In the event of engine failure, emergency steering capability is maintained. The machine includes multiple steering modes, including front wheel steering, four-wheel steering, and crab steering.

Operating Parameters

The operating weight of the 4CX 14 FT model is 7462 kg, while the 15 FT and 17 FT models weigh 7976 kg and 8068 kg, respectively. The maximum reach is 4.14 m, and the digging depth varies, reaching up to 5.63 m depending on the model.

Optional Equipment

This machine can be equipped with a range of attachments, including additional digging buckets and an optional JCB Torque Lock transmission system. Accessories include buckets of various capacities and snow removal tools.
