Powertrain and Design

The JCB BACKHOE LOADER 3CX features a heavy-duty one-piece mainframe and a componentized driveline. The engine is a four-cylinder, direct injection diesel with turbocharging, complying with EPA Tier III and CARB emissions standards. The fully enclosed design allows for easy technical inspections and longer service intervals.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

This machine is equipped with an open-center hydraulic system that includes three gear pumps supplying oil for the loader, backhoe, and steering systems. It offers a hydrostatic transmission system that enables efficient operations, including a 4WD option under suitable conditions. The hydraulic circuit is fitted with filters, ensuring efficient performance.

Operating Parameters

For the 3CX 14 FT model, the transport length is 23-7 feet (7.19 m), and the maximum digging depth is 14-7 feet (4.45 m). The 3CX 15 FT model has a transport height of 12-9 feet (3.89 m) for the standard backhoe. Additionally, all models provide a wide range of operating pressure and capacity specifications.

Optional Equipment

The machine offers various additional options, including a full cab, different working tools, and operator comfort systems such as seat adjustments and heating systems. Notably, the optional JCB Smooth Ride system enhances ride comfort. All attachments are designed to fit the machine's specifications, facilitating maintenance and inspections.
