Hydrema MX17 – Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The Hydrema MX17 is a mobile, compact backhoe designed for urban applications. It features a Cummins engine with 167 PS and a hydraulic output exceeding 400 l/min. The backhoe boasts an extremely compact turning radius and high lifting capacity, capable of raising up to 7200 kg at a reach of 6 m. The comfortable ROPS cabin ensures operator comfort.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The MX17 is equipped with ZF axles featuring limited slip differentials and planetary gear reduction. Its drivetrain consists of a hydrostatic all-wheel drive with a two-speed gearbox, allowing speeds of up to 35 km/h. The hydraulic system with Load Sensing and a separate slewing mechanism provides high precision and fuel savings, supporting various tools during operation.

Operating Parameters

The machine weighs 18,000 kg, with a width of 2530 mm including standard tires. It has a digging depth of up to 5410 mm and a working reach of 9320 mm. Maximum breakout force of the bucket cylinder is 126 kN, while the arm tear-out force is 82 kN. Multiple undercarriage configurations adapt to diverse urban work needs.

Optional Equipment

The machine can be equipped with various undercarriages, including attachments with sliding blades and various front and rear configurations. Hydraulic quick couplers and tiltrotators are available as options. The joystick with four proportional servo functions and additional buttons allows for efficient management of working functions.

Safety and Technical Data

The MX17 is secured with a two-circuit braking system, featuring oil bath brakes on all wheels. An automatic working brake system is standard. Remote control of hydraulic parameters is possible, and all technical data can be easily monitored from the cabin.
