Powertrain and Design

The Cat 972 XE features the Cat C9.3B engine, which provides high power density and reliability through proven electronic, fuel, and air systems. The machine is equipped with an automatic regeneration system and the Cat Clean Emissions Module (CEM) with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Design improvements allow for reduced fuel consumption and lower operating noise during operation.
