Powertrain and Design

The Cat 450 Backhoe Loader is equipped with a C4.4 ACERT™ engine, meeting U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IV emission standards through Selective Catalytic Reduction technology. The engine delivers solid performance with gross power of 106 kW (143 hp) and an estimated operating weight of 10,904 kg. An optimized loader system offers superior machine balance and stability across varying ground conditions.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

This machine features an advanced hydraulic system with a variable flow axial piston pump that adapts hydraulic power based on work demands. The load-sensing system provides full lifting and digging forces at any engine speed. Additionally, the new Spring Applied Hydraulically Released (SAHR) parking brake is engaged with just a button press, enhancing operator comfort.

Operating Parameters
