Cat 428F - Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The Cat 428F is equipped with either the Cat 3054C or Cat C4.4 engine, delivering rated power from 69 kW (93 hp) to 75 kW (101 hp) in standard variant. The engine complies with EU Stage II or Stage IIIA emission standards. The Power-Shuttle transmission offers four speeds forward and reverse, and an optional auto-shift transmission can operate in automatic or manual mode.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

This machine utilizes a closed-center hydraulic system with a variable flow axial piston pump rated at 132 L/min at 2200 rpm. The system pressure reaches 250 bar. Additionally, it features load-sensing hydraulics which provide better pump response and efficient power management, enhancing the productivity of working tools.

Operating Parameters

The maximum digging depth is 4306 mm, with a reach from the swing pivot of 5652 mm. The loader performance is boosted by the new arm design, providing enhanced reach and dump height. The operating weight of the machine ranges from 7294 kg to 10700 kg depending on the configuration.

Optional Equipment

The Cat 428F can be fitted with various work tools, including buckets with capacities from 1.00 m³ to 1.03 m³ and quick couplers, enhancing the versatility of the machine. Optional features include air conditioning systems, additional batteries, and various auxiliary hydraulic valves.

Safety and Technical Data

The machine meets ISO 3450:1996 standards. Standard equipment includes hydraulically actuated brakes and an upgraded power-assisted steering system. Furthermore, the Cat 428F features numerous safety enhancements to ensure operator safety and machine reliability during operation.
