Powertrain and Design

The Case WX 185 is equipped with a CASE - Family III engine, model 659TA-M2, with a displacement of 5.9 l, producing 118 kW (158 hp) at 2150 rpm. The compact upper structure provides better access to service points, and the ecological engine oil draining cap simplifies maintenance. Longer service intervals of 500 hours significantly increase operational efficiency.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The machine features an advanced hydraulic system with three variable displacement pumps, delivering a maximum flow of 2 x 175 + 100 l/min. It includes an automatic front axle locking system and an independent swing hydraulic circuit, enhancing versatility. The PowerShift transmission offers two gear ranges, enabling practical movement at speeds up to 30 km/h.

Operating Parameters

The Case WX 185 has a maximum reach of 9.46 m and a digging depth of 5.9 m. It weighs 18.74 t, making it suitable for larger construction tasks. The breakout force is 135 kN, and the standard bucket capacity is 0.85 m³.

Optional Equipment

The machine provides hydraulic quick couplers and stabilizers with large lockable pads for improved stability on uneven terrain. Additional options include an air conditioning system and the possibility to install various accessories known from the CASE series. Extra equipment also includes optional work lights and a radio.

Safety and Technical Data

For enhanced operator safety, the Case WX 185 is equipped with a unique Inching system and an integrated anti-theft device. Automatic battery cut-off switches and engine safe warm-up control ensure a proper level of protection. Additionally, multi-disc brakes are standard to prevent jolting during operation.
