CX290D - Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The CX290D machine is equipped with an ISUZU AQ-4HK1X engine, which is a water-cooled, 4-cycle diesel engine with a displacement of 5.52 l. This engine meets Tier 4 final / EU Stage IV emission standards, ensuring low fuel consumption while delivering high power of 177 hp at 2000 min-1. The SCR system utilized allows for high operational efficiency while reducing operating costs.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The hydraulic system of the CX290D consists of two variable displacement axial piston pumps, providing a maximum oil flow of 468 l/min. The working circuit pressure for the boom, arm, and bucket ranges from 34.3 to 37.3 MPa. The high travel speed, reaching 5.5 km/h, allows for rapid movement on the job site, further boosting the machine’s operational efficiency when combined with the improved hydraulic system.

Operating Parameters

The CX290D MH features a maximum digging depth of 3610 mm and a maximum digging height of 12680 mm. The CX290D SL version is equipped with a reinforced straight boom and gooseneck arm, enhancing lifting capability and reach. The operating weight, including the operator, is 32800 kg for the MH version and 32600 kg for the SL version.

Optional Equipment

The machine offers various optional equipment, including hydraulic devices that prevent interference between the machine and its attachments, as well as an audible alarm system. It can also be equipped with enhanced visibility camera packages and a LED lighting system that provides better visibility in challenging conditions. Boom and arm variations can be tailored for different applications such as material handling or scrap loading.

Safety and Technical Data

The CX290D ensures a high level of safety with a hydraulically operated emergency cab lowering device and sensors in the bucket cylinder. The external sound level is 102 dB(A), while the operator cab sound pressure level is 70 dB(A). The fuel tank has a capacity of 410 l, allowing for extended operation times before refueling is necessary.
