Powertrain and Design

The CX B Series represents the next generation of full-sized excavators, setting industry standards for fuel efficiency, operator comfort, and serviceability. These machines are powered by advanced engineering solutions, delivering efficient, responsive hydraulics and quiet operation. Furthermore, each excavator is supported by a dedicated customer support service.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

Weight and performance of the various models range from 3,638 pounds up to 80 metric tons, offering ample power for various tasks. Five compact models feature zero tail swing, maximizing productivity in confined spaces. Additionally, three minimum swing radius models excel in both tight construction sites and alongside busy roads, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Operating Parameters

The CX130B has a power output of 95 hp (71 kW) and a maximum digging depth of 19 ft 10 in (6.1 m). The CX160B provides 120 hp (89.5 kW) with a digging depth of 21 ft 4 in (6.5 m), while the CX210B offers 157 hp (117 kW) and a digging depth of 21 ft 10 in (6.7 m). The CX470B achieves 362 hp (270 kW) with an operating weight of 103,800 lb (47 083 kg).

Optional Equipment

The B Series excavators are available in various configurations, including long reach and narrow undercarriage options, to meet specialized work requirements. They also accommodate up to 10 auxiliary hydraulic flow patterns, greatly enhancing their versatility in applications.

Safety and Technical Data

All engines meet current EPA emission regulations, including B5 biodiesel ratings. The cab design provides excellent visibility and operating comfort, with an internal sound level of 68.5 dBa making them among the quietest in the market. Additionally, several service enhancements minimize maintenance time and improve operational efficiency.
