Powertrain and Design

The Case 680G is equipped with a high-torque diesel engine with a displacement of 336 in3 (5506 cm³). It features a 4-speed synchromesh transmission that provides full power shuttle capabilities and a torque converter. These attributes enable the machine to efficiently perform tasks in demanding construction environments.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The undercarriage of the Case 680G features an outboard planetary torque proportioning differential and a straight air brake system. Its hydraulic system operates at a pressure of up to 2450 psi, allowing efficient excavation and heavy load lifting operations. The hydraulic flow rate is 27.2 gpm at 2350 rpm, which facilitates quick work cycles.

Operating Parameters

The Case 680G offers a maximum breakout force of 10,500 lbs (46,706 N) and a dump clearance of 9'6.5" (2908 mm). It has an excavation depth of 16'9.35" (5144 mm) when using standard equipment. The maximum loading capacity reaches 5800 lbs (2631 kg), making it a versatile tool on the construction site.

Optional Equipment

The Case 680G can be equipped with various attachments, including digging buckets, available in sizes from 12" to 36". An Extendahoe extension is also available as an option, enhancing excavation capabilities in challenging locations. All attachments are designed for maximum efficiency and compatibility.

Safety and Technical Data

The machine is equipped with a ROPS safety system for the operator's protection. Additionally, the operator's cab contains a full set of instruments, including oil temperature and pressure indicators. Standard features include parking brakes and a single-pedal steering system, ensuring comfort and safety while operating.
