Case 480C – Product Description

Powertrain and Design

The 480C model is designed for performance and versatility. Its main feature is a unitized frame that isolates and protects the powertrain from work loads. The Case diesel engine with a displacement of 188 c.i.d. delivers 43 horsepower at 1900 rpm, providing substantial power with low fuel consumption. The powertrain configuration allows for service of individual components without disturbing the rest of the system.

Undercarriage and Hydraulics

The 480C features an eight-speed synchronized transmission with on-the-go shifting capabilities. Its hydraulic system enables simultaneous operation of various functions, thereby enhancing productivity. Additionally, hydraulic cylinders are protected by safety valves, which adds to overall operational safety.

Operating Parameters

The loader in the 480C can lift up to 1361 kg to a height of 9246 mm. The maximum breakout force is 5700 lbs (25,355 N), making it effective in heavy-duty working conditions. Buckets are available in both short (21 ft³) and long (20 ft³) capacities, ensuring flexibility for diverse applications.

Optional Equipment

The 480C comes standard with a ROPS canopy, with an optional cab available. A noise suppression kit is also available, which reduces sound levels produced by the engine and drivetrain. Furthermore, this model offers an optional hydraulic system with a fourth line for additional attachments.

Safety and Technical Data

The standard safety features include hydraulic locks and pressure regulation in circuits. The integrated ROPS system provides added protection for the operator. All structural elements are designed for durability and wear resistance, with a frame constructed from high-strength steel.
